Well it's been a while since I updated since Max has finished his trip. The support was amazing. I have sent out the first round of stickers to all the sponsors whose address I had. If you didn't get a sticker and would want one, just e-mail me with your address.

So what is Unicycle Max doing now? Well, he performed at the Maine Blues Festival on June 17th, rode in the Independance Day parade in Montpelier on July 3rd, he'll be at the River Ridge Center Open House in Kennebunk, ME in September, and will be performing at the Auburn Public Library soon. Also, a couple big plans for next year, he'll be competing in the Whiteface Uphill Race in New york, all the while writing about his 6 state tour, and preparing for school in the spring.

Several new articles have popped up. Check them out in the press section. Max is adjusting to a smaller 20" freestyle unicycle in preparation for a performance at the Maine Blues Festival. We are working on sending out stickers and photos to everyone that has helped out. Just send me your mailing address and bear with us.

29 days and 715 miles later, Max is back at his home in Peru, ME. It was a very rough last day of riding, fighting wind, rain, steep hills, and a loose crank arm that required tightening every 30 minutes. It was a long ride, but is only the first leg in Max's quest for higher education. A huge thank you to everyone who made this trip possible. Please e-mail me with your mailing address so we can send you a sticker and say thanks. Also, keep posting your comments on Max's blog. Keep checking back for the latest updates as Max gets more press coverage and starts the real journey of going back to school. As always, stay tuned and Go Max Go!

Max is back on the road and on his way home. He spent a few days in Montpelier to rest up for the home stretch. Tomorrow, Sat 6/3 will be Max's last day of riding. he's determined to ride from E. Concord, VT to Rumford, ME in one day. That's over 70 miles. Thanks to everyone who has supported Max. We are sending free stickers to anyone who has helped out in any way, so if you would like a sticker, please e-mail me with your mailing address. Check out his latest blog entry and stay tuned for all the updates after the ride.

Day 22 was Max's toughest day of riding, climbing nearly 1000 feet in elevation in the start of Vermont's Green Mountains. Use the tilt function in Google Earth to see the kind of hills he's dealing with. Speaking of Google Earth, Frank Taylor from gearthblog.com helped me out in getting the network link working to show Max's progress. His site is full of cool stuff and has mentioned Max's story in his latest blog entry. Don't forget to send me your mailing address for a free unicyclemax sticker.

Max is cruising now. He has made it through 5 out of 6 states. He met some great guys at Gravity Warehouse bike shop in Southwick, MA who gave Max some leg warmers, some nutrition bars, and a place to sleep in their busted van. E-mail me with your address so we can send you a sticker. Next stop, Vermont.

Well after a horrible night camping in a very wet and windy storm topped with hail, everything Max had was soaked. But he was determined to keep going and made it to a place in Middle Haddam, CT where Beryl Thorpe was kind enough to let him crash and dry some things out. He did a radio interview on the side of the road with Gary York from 100.9 WIFM in Alkin, NC. Stickers are in! If you would like a UnicycleMax sticker, just e-mail me with your address. Try the Google Earth network link!

Max is in a new state today. There's a new map of his progress with a new Google Earth file to download. There are also new pictures and a new blog entry. Lots of new stuff so check it out. If anyone in Connecticut wants to give Max a place to crash, let me know.

Max is back on the road! Due to massive flooding in Massachusetts, Max took a few more days of rest in Westford, MA. Last night he rode in a 10-mile ride of silence to honor fallen cyclists. Then this morning, he was back on the road to Waltham, MA. A link on ilovebacon.com nearly tripled our traffic overnight. Feel free to post a link at any message board or web-community you find, or add this banner to your myspace page. Also, check out the latest article in the Bangor Daily News. Don't forget to leave a comment on Max's Blog.
